If your loved one is experiencing memory challenges or cognitive deficits, The Campus of Anna Maria is here to support you. We provide varying levels of care across multiple settings, coupled with dedicated professionals to assist your family and your loved one through this journey. Our clinicians evaluate each resident to determine the stage of dementia and then identify successful approaches and programming which engages the resident and encourages him/her to maintain as much independence and function as possible. We strive to provide person-centered care which focuses on the individual’s needs and promotes the resident’s sense of security and independence. Our experienced care staff takes pride in focusing on the individual and the family, connecting with the person – not the diagnosis.
Training and Experience
At Anna Maria we train our staff using the Positive Approach to Care ® program developed by leading dementia care expert Teepa Snow. Positive Approach to Care is a program that emphasizes making use of the skills retained by the individual while providing support, and substituting our skill for what is no longer available. The staff learns to be proactive vs. reactive and to develop a positive culture for the residents and their families.
